Recipes

Cooking with apples  can be a fun and educational experience for students. The learning objectives of this activity include: 

Culinary Skills: Develop basic cooking skills, such as measuring ingredients, following instructions, and preparing simple dishes.

Food Science: Understand the science behind cooking, including the effects of heat on ingredients and the importance of balance in flavors.

Nutrition: Learn about the nutritional benefits of apples and other ingredients used in the recipes.

Creativity: Encourage students to think creatively and experiment with different flavors and combinations.

Cultural Awareness: Explore the cultural significance of apples and apple-based dishes in different parts of the world.

Teamwork: Foster teamwork and collaboration among students as they work together to prepare and share their recipes

Student Involvement

Recipe Research and Cultural Exchange: Have students research and select apple-based recipes from their cultures. Discuss the cultural significance of the recipes and compare them to other apple-based dishes from different regions.

Recipe Book Creation: Share the students' recipes into the common Apple Recipe ebook  of the project including illustrations and personal reflections. Students can draw, write or use apps to design their recipe presentations or posters.

Mascots

Mascots

Creating the mascot for the project is a fun and engaging way to teach students about teamwork, creativity, and project management.

The primary objectives of this activity include:

Fostering creativity and imagination: Students can develop their artistic and conceptual skills by brainstorming and designing the mascot.

Building teamwork and collaboration: Working together to create a shared project can enhance students' communication and cooperation abilities.

Developing problem-solving skills: Students will need to overcome challenges and make decisions as a group during the mascot creation process.

Enhancing project management skills: The process of creating a mascot can teach students about planning, organization, and time management.

Generating enthusiasm for the project: A mascot can become a symbol of the project, motivating students and creating a sense of ownership.

Students' involvement

 Each group design and create  an apple-mascot and give it a name, all the students in the group collaborate in the creation and design of the mascot and choosing its name.

 Once every group uploads their mascot there will be a voting poll among all students in the projet to choose the mascot of the Apple-icious project

The three most voted mascots will be the main characters of the collaborative story.
